Five signs your website is quietly losing you customers.
Websites rarely fail loudly. They leak. Here are the five signs we check first when a business tells us the site 'does nothing', and what each one costs you.
No customer will ever email you to say your website put them off. They just leave. So a leaking site looks exactly like a quiet market, and businesses blame the economy for what is actually a fixable design problem. Here are the five leaks we find most often.
1. It takes more than three seconds to load
Half your visitors are gone before they see anything. Speed is the cheapest conversion upgrade that exists, and Google ranks fast sites higher, so a slow site loses twice.
2. It was designed on a desktop, for a desktop
Seven or eight of every ten visitors are on a phone. If buttons are tiny, text needs zooming or the menu fights back, you built your shopfront for the pavement nobody walks down.
3. There is no obvious next step
People visit, browse and vanish because nothing asked them to do anything. Every page needs one clear action: call, book, get a quote. Interest with nowhere to go is money left on the table.
4. It says what you do, but not why you
'Quality service at competitive prices' describes every business in your industry. Real reviews, real photos, real accreditations and a line of copy that sounds like a human being: that is what separates you from the other two tabs the customer has open.
5. Google cannot read it properly
Missing page titles, no headings structure, no local signals. The site might look fine to you and still be nearly invisible to the one robot that decides whether new customers ever find you.
None of this fixes itself. Every week it stays the same, someone nearby searches for what you do and finds your competitor first.
The good news: every one of these is fixable, and usually quickly. We will happily look at your site on a free 15-minute call and tell you straight which leaks you have, whether you fix them with us or not.
